“Really Diggin’ Downtown Branson’s New Look”
Historic Downtown Branson is well into Phase One of its groundbreaking Streetscape Project and already everyone is diggin’ the great new look. Now is the time to come Downtown and check out the wonderful details that have been included to draw from our rich Branson history, including the Liberty Tree emblem that is part of the new street signage. The Liberty Tree was a Downtown landmark as it sat along Lake Taneycomo and brought shade to fishermen, campers, swimmers, and those just out for a lovely picnic. Not only is the Downtown Streetscape Project a reflection of our heritage, but it is replacing aged water and sewer lines to handle the increased volume from our Branson visitors which has grown significantly in the last 25 years. Jessica Luthardt of the Downtown Branson Betterment Association says “Historic Downtown is a destination spot within Branson meeting our visitor’s desire for home-cooked meals, Branson’s best hotels, unique shopping, a museum and art galleries, attractions like the Scenic Railway and great entertainment with 7 live, award-winning shows for entertainment.”
Parking is plentiful in Historic Downtown with two FREE lots, storefront space and a parking garage steps from Main & Commercial Streets with a minimal $2 charge for an hour or $8 for ALL DAY. Our one-of-a-kind shops, restaurants and theatres are all OPEN and looking forward to showing our Downtown hospitality as we prepare our streets to greet our NEXT GENERATION of Branson locals and visitors.
