BRANSON MO NEWS: Today we head back to Tennessee (we were there in July and again in August for the eclipse) to see my mother (and sister and her family). This is the 6th trip to Tennessee in the last two years. I’ll post some pics. We were going to take my mother (at her request) to Branson, Missouri…but last week she decided it might be too long and too cold a trip, so we’ll stay in Tennessee. We’re bringing down some Michigan presents (Michigan apples, Michigan cherries, Michigan wine, Michigan beer and a few other Michigan goodies. My mother is 98 years old and lives on her own in a nice condo. My sister lives two blocks away. Her husband is a scientist for the Oak Ridge Laboratory. At this time of year, the holly are green with the red berries and you see a lot of cardinals and robins (probably some Michigan robins. Her condo complex has a creek for water, birdfeeders and it’s really sheltered from the wind with hills on 3 sides…so it’s a nice place for birds to hang out. On rare occasion, we’ll see deer pass through. I’ll keep up with the weather and post on that as well as the trip.
