BRANSON MO NEWS: Memorial service for Robert Marvin Cohn, 85, of Branson, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 21, 2017, at his home in Branson. Interment will be at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Robert died Sept. 15, 2017.

He was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Newton, Iowa, son of Eli Alfred Cohn and Edna Popofsky Cohn. He lived much of his life in Newton.  He graduated high school from Newton High School and attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He married his wife Barbara on April 3, 1981, in Newton. He owned and operated a clothing store and fabric store and after closing those businesses he went into sales. After moving to Branson, Robert was active with the Branson Arts Council, presently Branson Regional Arts Council, where he served as a board member and president. He also served on the Branson Planning and Zoning Commission.  He also served as an inspector with the Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Leonard Cohn.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Cohn, of Branson; his children, Steven Cohn and wife Wendy, of Portland, Ore., Cindy Cohn and husband Patrick Ball, of San Francisco, Calif., and Kristen Cohn, of Virginia; step-sons Stephen Stilwell and wife Anita, of Hudson, Wis., and Robert Morecraft and wife Kimberly, of Vermillion, S.D.; sister Joyce Koufer, of Overland Park, Kan.; and four stepgrandchildren.
