BRANSON MO NEWS: ST. LOUIS — Lakin Simmerman enjoyed a monster night in College of the Ozarks’ 75-61 triumph over Missouri Baptist on Tuesday.
Simmerman about doubled her scoring and rebounding averages while collecting 21 points and 14 rebounds, to go along with three blocks. She has 11 blocks this season, after finishing with 15 all of last season.
Kelsie Cleeton remained in a shooting slump, but netted her fifth double-double. She had 14 points and 13 rebounds. The sophomore guard has scored in double figures in all eight C of O games, despite shooting 35 percent from the floor.
Clean also collected five assists.
The Lady ‘Cats (7-1) out rebounded Missouri Baptist 49-42.
C of O shot just 3-of-17 from 3-point land.
The Lady ‘Cats meet Science & Arts (Oklahoma) and John Brown (Arkansas) this weekend at home in the Coke Classic.
