Branson, MO April 10, 17 – The Southern Missouri Arts Connection is excited to announce that they will be hosting a series of Arts Enrichment Workshops for the community. Local artists from all disciplines are donating their time and talents to help SMAC spread awareness and raise funds for the organization. The first workshop is Figure Drawing Techniques hosted by Curtis Copeland on Monday April 24, 2017 from 6-9pm. The workshop will be held at 576 State Highway 248, Suite 3 Branson, MO 65616.
This 3-hour workshop will introduce participants to the basic techniques for drawing the human figure. There will be instructional discussion and participants will also have the opportunity to practice the drawing techniques learned with a live clothed model. The concepts covered in this workshop include; proportion, line work and shading.
Workshop facilitator Curtis Copeland studied life drawing and classical art at Drury and MSU. He exhibits his work locally, in publications, and through commissions. This workshop is open to adults over the age of 18 and costs $20 per person to attend. Participants should bring a sketch pad (18” x 24” or larger suggested) and at least two pencils (#2 are acceptable).
