Visioncon continues to give back to the community for its 25th year
Branson, Missouri — Visioncon is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary as Missouri’s premiere Comic-Con convention Feb. 26-28 in Branson at the Convention Center and is continuing it’s tradition to give back to the community.
Dozens of volunteers have been working tirelessly to make the 25th Visioncon better than ever for this year’s charity, Care To Learn, which provides immediate funding to meet emergency health, hunger, and hygiene needs of students so every child can be successful in school.
In the past three years, Visioncon, which also encompasses pop culture, anime, gaming and sci-fi genres, has raised more than $15,000 for area charities.
Costume contests, vendor booths, panel discussions with industry professionals in the fields of television, movies, makeup, gaming, and much more are scheduled throughout the weekend.
The star-studded guest list includes headliner of the TV series “Being Human” Sam Witwer, video game “Fallout 4” voice actor Katy Townsend, “Gremlins” voice actor Mark Dodson, cosplayer Abby Dark-Star, and other talented individuals will host panels throughout the weekend.
Visioncon is family-friendly for all ages. A full weekend membership is $40 for ages 17 and up and $30 for ages 11-16, day membership until ‪9 p.m.‬ is $30 for ages 17 and up and $25 for ages 11-16, children 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission but do require a badge.
