Galen Thomas Gary Bonham Sr., 77, St. Joseph, went to be with our Lord on April 1, 2018.He was born December 6, 1940, in St. Joseph, to Fred and Mary Bonham.Gary graduated from Lafayette High School in 1959. He then attended Northwest Missouri State, in Maryville, Missouri.
He owned a business in St. Joseph for 29 years and also taught a class in the Continuing Education Department at Missouri Western State University. After this he took on another business adventure in Branson, Missouri.Gary was a Moila 32nd Degree Master Mason, private pilot and avid golfer.He was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include: his wife of 54 years, the former Joanna Hessemyer; son, Galen Bonham Jr., Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Jenny Galloway, St. Joseph; grandchildren, Benjamin, Gabriel and Jolie.
Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.A private family service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Friends of The Animal Shelter.Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
