Branson man dies in Hwy. 60 wreck

BRANSON MO NEWS: Vehicle overturns, ejects driver in Saturday crash
A Branson man died on Saturday in a wreck at 10:35 a.m. on Highway 60, 2.5 miles west of Monett.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ronnie Nelson, 50, of Branson, was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy westbound when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.
Nelson was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. by Barry County Deputy Coroner Charlie McManus.
Nelson was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
This is the 103rd fatal wreck of the year for Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, which covers 18 counties in southwest Missouri, including Lawrence and Barry.
