* I did a little “off-roading” yesterday. That’s when I drive to work in Omaha on medians and through parks because they’re in better shape than the actual roads.* Food trucks in Omaha may be allowed to operate until 2:30 a.m. after negotiations between Mayor Jean Stothert and the Omaha Food Truck Association. I’m pretty sure the Omaha Food Truck Association is more powerful than the AFL-CIO and the NRA combined.* Omaha City Council member Chris Jerram suggested lowering the restaurant tax. When I heard somebody mention lowering the restaurant tax, I assumed that Stothert had begun campaigning for re-election.* A member of the Omaha City Council tried to cut the restaurant tax while Mayor Jean Stothert was out of town on vacation.
