CMHCF receives health care awards

Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation residential and long-term care facilities and employees were honored at the 70th annual Missouri Health Care Association convention Aug. 26-29 in Branson.CMH was recognized as a platinum sponsor for the convention and was presented a plaque honoring dedication to quality and service within the health care profession. Facility Involvement Awards were given to Ash Grove Healthcare Facility, Ash Grove, first place, full color category; Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility, Stockton, first place, classic black and white category; and Parkview Health Care Facility, Bolivar, second place, full color category. The three facilities were honored for creating front-page newspapers featuring their facilities.
Chris McBratney, administrator of Ash Grove Healthcare Facility and administrative director of long-term care facilities in Ash Grove, El Dorado Springs and Stockton, was re-elected to the board as the non-proprietary conference chair. Tim Francka, administrator of Parkview Health Care Facility, Bolivar, and administrative director of long-term care facilities in Bolivar and Buffalo, was elected as the voting representative for the American Health Care Association Council of Delegates, a three-year MHCA board seat.MHCA is Missouri’s largest association of licensed, long-term health care facilities, residential care facilities and assisted living facilities with headquarters in Jefferson City. With nearly 320 facility members, MHCA represents over 65 percent of Missouri’s licensed skilling nursing care facility, along with many residential care and assisted living facilities, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of long-term care.CMH operates six long-term care facilities and one residential care center in Cedar, Dallas, Greene and Polk counties.
