BRANSON MO NEWS: Funeral services for Jean Elizabeth Ford, 94, of Branson, will be held 2 p.m., Nov. 2, 2017, at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, with Pastor Tom Willcox officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Branson.

She died Oct. 27, 2017.

Jean was born Oct. 5, 1923, at Boston Center, Mo., daughter of Mitchell Melton and Annie Estella Wyer Ford. She received a Masters Degree from UCLA University and taught dancing at the University of Missouri in Columbia, S.M.S. in Springfield, and Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville. She was a realtor at one time in Kansas City, Mo. She had been a resident of Branson for the past 20 years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Branson. She was the author of “Fish Tails and Scales.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Adrian Ford, Henry Ford and Albert Ford; and sister Edna Ford Eastland.

Survivors include sister Carolyn Ford of Forsyth.

Memorials may be made to The College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout.
