BRANSON MO NEWS: Celebration of Life for John Frank Moody, 61, of Hollister, will be held in the Grand Regal Room at Pointe Royale Golf Village in Branson, Jan. 19, 2018, 9:30 a.m. Ross Fulton, formerly of Branson United Methodist Church, will be officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield the same day. Services and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.He died Oct. 12, 2017.

John was born Feb. 29, 1956, in Ft. Worth, Texas, son of Frank and Martha Ann King Moody. He grew up in Covington, Ga. He graduated from University of Maryland, and attended the University of Alabama. He served in the Army from 1977 to 1980 as a broadcast journalist, earning the Marksman Badge with the M-16 rifle. He was stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C., and Nagasaki, Japan. He served on the Pointe Royale Condominium Association from 2007-2009. In his last year, John officiated weddings.He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Teresa Morris Moody; sister Donna Wingfield, of Covington, Ga.; brother-in-law Greg Morris and wife Carolyn, of Arlington, Texas; and sister-in-law Karen Knox, of Arlington, Texas.To leave online condolences, visit cremationsoftheozarks.com.
