KY3 News wins three Emmys in regional competition; Steve Grant honored

BRANSON MO NEWS: BRANSON, Mo. KY3 News came home with an armful of trophies at the Mid-America Emmy presentations in Branson.
KY3 News was honored with regional Emmys for best evening and best morning newscasts in the region, which covers Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois and Louisiana.
In addition, Contact KY3’s Ashley Reynolds was honored with an Emmy for her consumer reporting.
The capper of the awards ceremony was the organization honoring KY3’s Steve Grant’s with its Silver Circle Award for his more than 40 years on the air in the Ozarks. The Silver Circle Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences [NATAS] awards a lifetime of dedication to the television industry. It’s an honor reserved only for dedicated broadcasters who’ve left their mark. Inductees for the Silver Circle have at least 25 years of experience.
Steve gave credit to KY3 and its people. “I love being a part of a legacy station, because I believe the true and real measure of KY3’s value is its commitment to the community it serves.”
