DOTHAN,Ala.– Hailing from Branson, Missouri, Matt’s Family Jam consists of a mom and dad and their three children who perform eight months out of the year.”We had this idea to take the family back on the road because the kids were growing and learning instruments on their own and wanted to travel so we thought we’d just give it a try again. It’s been successful for the last seven years,” said Matt Rolf, father and band member.The Rolf family travels all over the U.S.This is their second year at the National Peanut Festival.”Dothan is nice just because you guys are so nice and friendly and it’s just a great place to be. For this gig is great, all the roads are paved and there’s a lot of people enjoying music>>The fam jam performs different genres of music from country and gospel to classic rock.And what’s unique about this group is they perform on a moving stage.”Being on a strolling stage like this, getting to see so many different parts of the fairground and bring our music to people. All of a sudden they’ll turn around and see the stage, then all of a sudden they know the song we’re playing and they’ll start dancing,” said Collin Rolf, band member.All three of the siblings began playing instruments before age ten and never stopped.So how do they keep up with school and performing?”The kids are homeschooled, they work on their school work in the morning and then we play in the afternoon,” said Matt.”It gives us so much flexibility for what we do out here,” said Adrienne Rolf, band member.But they say the best part of it is being able to perform together.”It’s been very easy …
