Missouri woman wins Ms. Senior America competition

BRANSON MO NEWS: Peggy Lee Brennan
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (KTVI) – A 62-year-old woman from Missouri just won the Ms. Senior America competition last Thursday. Peggy Lee Brennan is the current Ms. Senior Missouri. She beat 44 women from across the United States and Puerto Rico.
A release from the pageant says that, “The Ms. Senior America Pageant is the world’s first and foremost pageant to emphasize and give honor to women who have reached the “age of elegance”. ”
Missouri has not had a National Queen since 1994. The Shore News Today reports that Brennan wowed the crowd with her version of “People Will Say We’re in Love” from the musical “Oklahoma.” She has also performed on Broadway, and in Branson, Mo.
Ms. Brennan was raised on Staten Island, NY. Peggy’s acting career took her from Broadway to Hollywood. She played Frenchy in the original Broadway production of Grease; Radar’s girlfriend in the TV show MASH; Princess Meia in the film Message from Space and Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street. She also performed with The Rhythm King’s Cab Calloway, The Nicholas Brothers and Arthur Duncan. With Mickey Rooney Peggy wrote and starred in the TV pilot Peg of My Hart.
