SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The bigger Class 4 and 5 high school teams are wrapping up their district tournaments around the Show Me State.At the Hammons Student Center Thursday night it was the championship of Class 5 District 11.The 22-4 Kickapoo Chiefs battled 19-8 Ozark on the boys side.And Kickapoo gets on the with this Donyae McCaskill jumper it’s 2-nothing.Ozark back the other way, down low to Payton Nichols with the reverse layup it’s 4-3 Tigers.The Chiefs with some defense Jared Ridder with the steal, out to Cameron Davis for the layup, and the foul, it’s 6-4 with the three point play.End of the first quarter, Ozark’s Noah Suiter with the deep three to beat the buzzer, it’s 12-8 Ozark.But Kickapoo goes onto win 52-41.    On the girls side, the Kickapoo Chiefs battled Branson.Both of these teams sporting identical 23-4 records.And Branson inside to Terra Utz-Depriest for the hoop, it’s a 17-8 Pirate start.Fast forward to the fourth quarter, the Branson three is off the mark, but Lauren Garrison gets the rebound and the basket, it’s 55-54 Branson.Seconds left, Kickapoo looking for the three and the lead, off the iron, a collision for the loose …
