Take Interstate 70 west to Kingdom City, then go south on Highway 54 to what Missourians often simply refer to as The Lake. For many St. Louis area residents, that’s the easiest way to get to the Lake of the Ozarks.This summer, motorists using that route should factor in possible delays because of ongoing lane closures on 54 between I-70 and the Missouri River bridge at Jefferson City.The lane closures — which also include traffic diverted at times to one side of the highway — are due to repairs to nine bridges, installation of cable guards in the median and resurfacing.
