BRANSON MO NEWS: Sinai Judaica Gift Shop
Springfield – The Sinai Judaica Gift Shop is new resuming regular hours of Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon and most Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Sinai Temple, 1100 Dickinson St. For the High Holy Days, they have apple and honey sets, challah loaves and knives, candle holders, kiddush cups and so much more (always free gift wrapping). There are lovely tallises for men and women and many appropriate Bar/Bat Mitzvah gifts. 
Documentry film on guns
Monson – The Unitarian Church of Monson is showing a 90 minute film “Making A Killing: Guns, Greed, and the NRA,” on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. It shows Wayne LaPierre of the NRA, and exposes the mark up on guns, salaries and mansions of gun manufacturers and others related to the business are also revealed. This movie gives a personal touch showing families affected by gun violence, accidents and suicides. The film will be followed by refreshments and discussion. It is free and open to the public. Donations accepted. 
Celebration of new pastor
Springfield – The community is welcome to join the Alden Baptist Church family as they celebrate the public installation of Rev. Dr. L.A. Love on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. The church is located at 649 State St.
Fall festival
Westfield – Holy Trinity Parish, 335 Elm St. will hold a “Fall Festival,” on Sunday, Sept. 17 from noon to 5 p.m. at Pilsudski Park, 200 Old County Road in Holyoke. There will be Polish and American food (take out available), live music, games for adults and children, bingo, bounce house, raffles and a bake sale. Admission and parking are free. Held rain or shine.
