ARCHER CITY — Let them eat cake!
Better yet, let them eat cake somewhere around Archer City.
David Molina, in one of the onces in his many once-upon-a-times, ran his own wedding business, Cakes by David.
He didn’t just make cakes — and his own signature buttercream icing, by the way. He also arranged flowers, rented wedding equipment, did the cooking, tackled the catering, zinged in a few dance lessons (two-left-footed grooms beware) and even took on DJ’ing duties via his iPad.
The only thing he didn’t do was officiate the ceremony.
It was a dizzying, maddening dash, and so Molina decided to slow down. When he was offered a job at Market Street as the head floral designer and floral manager, he took it.
A multitasker among multitaskers, with a little bit of workaholic thrown in, Molina still managed to put in a full week making mums for football season, dazzling bouquets for Mother’s Day and entire wedding dresses made out of petals for the grocery store’s bridal show display.
