BRANSON MO NEWS: Pastor Michael Duane Sassanella, 62, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday evening, Sept. 29, 2016, at Bridge Hospice, Findlay. He was born Nov. 25, 1953, in Garrett, Indiana, to Jack Duane and Lois Louise (Swift) Sassanella. He married Cindra Kay Gibson June 29, 2013, and she survives. Survivors also include his four sons, Jeremy Michael (Kate) Sassanella of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joshua Jeffery (Sara) Sassanella of New York City, New York, Justin Roger (Tiffany) of Branson, Missouri, and Jonathon David (Joslyn) Sassanella of Garrett, Indiana; stepdaughter, Alissa (Erick) Schuetz of Aurora; brother, David Joe Sassanella of Valparaiso, Indiana; two sisters, Joyce Louise (Bob) Harris of Fremont, Indiana, and Debra Kay Sassanella of Firestone, Colorado; six grandchildren, Jordan, Jackson, Jilly, Eli, Lyric and Alivia Sassanella; and two stepgrandchildren, Aiden Schuetz and Lila Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael graduated in 1972 from Prairie Heights High School in Indiana and attended Indiana Tech for Business, as well as seminary at Huntington University in Indiana. He worked at Dana Corp. for 22 years in purchasing, sales and marketing, was a pastor at Victory Baptist Church in Waterloo, Indiana, for 17 years, and most recently at Steyer Seeds in sales and marketing.
