The Righteous Brothers to headline Cheyenne Civic Center in a week

BRANSON NEWS: Bill Medley was performing in Branson, Missouri the first time he listened to Bucky Heard sing.Medley had been performing as a solo act for more than a decade, after spending the majority of his career as one-half of the iconic Righteous Brothers.Now that he was out on his own, he was spending much of his time in Branson, performing for audiences young and old.Fans were clamoring for him to find a way to revive his old singing duo, but Medley was still reeling from the death of his longtime friend and partner, Bobby Hatfield.However, the night he came across Heard he was blown away.“I heard Bucky doing some Journey covers and I was just amazed by how incredible of a singer and performer he was,” he said. “I figured if he could do Steve Perry, he could probably do Bobby Hatfield, too. I ended up having to go see him again because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t hearing things.”Something about Heard’s voice called to Medley. He knew that he had to find a way to work with the younger musician.They sat down together at a piano, belting out old Righteous Brothers’ hits and other favorite tunes.It was a fantastic connection, so Medley knew exactly what he had to do. He asked Heard to join him in the Righteous Brothers.
